No
I recently won a Sony Alpha 900 and 28-75mm 2.8 Sony lens.
(as well a trip to see England play against USA next week, thank you talkphotograhy, which is where i saw the competition)
I already have a Canon 7D with 17-55 2.8, so I was thinking I could sell the Sony for two and a half grand and buy a canon 70-200mm 2.8 non-IS and 2 speedlights.
Or I could use the alpha as a second body..anyone know how much a fast-aperture 300/400mm lens is for the alpha?

Do you really want to be trying to use two different systems at one? Flog the Sony and buy some Canon gear :D

sure thing

if you wanna donate 3grand my way first

You have over-valued what you won slightly ;). The lens can be had new from a reputable camera store carrying UK stock for £399 and with the best will in the world £2600 is a tad optomistic for an a900.

no this is true, I should be charitable...or I could squeeze the free ride for every last drop
how much would you sell for then?

if you want quick cash i'd sell it for around £1500, as the a900 is around £1300 now and the lens is only £400, im sure if you stuck that combo in the for sale forums or on ebay at £1500 you'd get an easy sale.

The α900 is Sony's first attempt at a pro-spec full-frame DSLR.

Plus points: Rugged build quality, built-in image stabiliser, 24mp, compatible with huge range of Minolta AF lenses

Negative points: Poor high ISO noise handling (compared to 5D mk II and D700), no flash, no video, no Live View

Full summary here

As an ex-Minolta user, I think it's a fine camera, and would suit anyone interested in portraits and landscapes shot in good light. A bit like shooting on fine-grained slide film!

I'd be tempted to keep it and pick up a few cheap Minolta lenses off eBay :)

i dunno man, i was thinkin of gettin a 300/400mm so I can do the footy when is starts next season
but to be honest there not much cheaper than the canon ones, and if i sell it and get a canon 70-200mm, I could use that for the footy on my 7D 1.6 crop
