hi all,

I needed a smaller camera (than my dslr) to carry around with me in my bag at all times and after reading extensive reviews i settled on the sony alpha 5000. the price played a big part. i would have taken the 6000 if i had had the money but it is considerably more expensive here and i am not trying to replace the dslr or outdo it. so i am happy with it so far. so it doesn't have evf and other limitations but compared to my phone obviously much better! i realise the kit lens is poor. the weakest part of it. i am going to buy the Sigma 30 mm 2.8 DN because i read some reviews of that saying it was amazing. better than one might expect. I am just not sure about the 19mm or the 30mm for street photography. considering the camera is a crop body. do any of you have this or similar camera? some thoughts?

thanks :)

J

Yeah the sigma lenses are extremely good, 60mm is a nice length on crop too
