Currently have the A6000 with a Sony 35mm f1.8 and the 55-210mm, the plan being to expand this setup with a wide angle lens and I'd be happy with the coverage. I was set on getting the 10-18mm but then questioned its cost for the little use it may get, looked at both the Sony 16mm and Sigma 19mm but looking through all my previous landscape shots they are all shot at 10mm and I think I would be disappointed if I didn't have a wider option.

Ive looked at the Rokinon/Samyang 10/12/14mm and for the size and money I may as well go for the 10-18, have I overlooked anything in the 10-12mm bracket?

Having done a little more reading the Samyang 12mm looks quite promising? Anybody have one/use on regular bases that could give me some feedback/advice?

if you want ultra wide, then you want ultra wide ;) id say go for the widest u can

really :-o

you could buy a cheap lens off ebay or here, and a adapter see how you get on, the fly by wire on e mount is real bad feeling in comparison to a full manual lens

Well after doing a lot more reading I went with the
Samyang 12mm, price to use ratio this suited me better. Looking forward to giving manual focus a go

Turned up yesterday, manual focus seems simple with peaking on the A6000 and in fairness the lens is tiny.
