Hi
I can't decide what I shoud do I'm after a new lens and I can't quite make my mind up whether to go for the 70-300g (would love 70-400g but funds won't allow) or save some money on a 2nd hand 100-300apo minolta any advise would be apreciated, I love my beercan bit fancy a bit more length.
I have a sigma 70-300 non apo but now find it's a bit soft 200+
Thanks in advance
Andrew

if it were me i would probably go for the sony 70-300mm G mainly due to looking at some of the reviews on the internet that claim it has brilliant sharpness, clarity and IQ.

may i ask, what would you be using it for as this can be a determined factor when choosing lenses.

There's quite a price difference between the two lenses you've mentioned, the 70-300G is about £600, whereas I recently picked up a decent 100-300 APO for £150.

I think the G is ultimately better, but the Minolta option is good value for money. People do get good results from using the Beercan with a TC.
