sony flashgun

Hi i am after a sony flash and i am unsure what one to go for

I was thinking between Sigma ef-530dg super or the sony 58am

Will they both give as good results if shooting inside?

If you can justify the extra cost, the Sony 58 is the better unit - it is more powerful (GN=58 rather than 53) and also has the ability to swivel the whole flash - for when you are shooting in portrait mode.

For the money the sigma is a great value option but if you can afford it go for the 58am you won't regret having the extra power and faster recycle rate. The portrait mode is also icing on the cake

Does it have to be one of those two?

The Sony 58 is the better spec flash but there are a few other options.....maybe a ringflash?

For me its the Sony 58. If you can afford it then go for it other wise just save up for it and you will not regret it
