Is there such a thing as an adapter that fits onto the hot shoe to a tripod connection for a Sony A55 camera? Ebay has them for canon & Nikon.

I was hoping for one that would fit the Sony & have a tripod adapter like this one. However if nothing better comes up I can addapt the one you have pointed me to. Thank you.

The reason I want it, is to mount my small Panasonic on top of the Sony to make a movie whilst I take stills with the Sony. I've hand held the two together & the results have been quite good.

Oh, the other way around. You can get a sony to standard hotshoe adapter then use the one you linked to :)
