Morning all

My First post on here, so just wanted to say hi and ask what you guys/girls think of the sony's...

I purchased a sony a350 twin lens kit (18-70mm + 55-200mm). Mainly as it was cheaper than the canon 450d (plus I run a canon 50d + canon 400d) and thought maybe time to try something new..

As normal the kit lens arent fantastic, hunt in low lighting and the normal stuff. But all in all its not a bad camera.

Anyone else run these? and there thoughts?

Main reason for asking, I was thinking of selling it and getting a canon 500d.

Currently my sony kit is
Sony A350
Sony 18-70mm lens
sony 55-200mm lens
2x 55mm cokin UV filters
F42 flash gun

Shutter count is around 2500 (currently showing 2200, but im going to test it out at an event im covering tonight).

So your thoughts please?

ouch the sigma is a good lens, but i really dont think its worth spending the 400 notes.. mainly as i have a 28-135 canon ultra lens that could fit on the 500d..

Sell it all and get a 500d or keep it, spend another 400 notes and then think i should of sold it...

Find one of the cheap brand new A700 (between £500-£600) that are about at the moment, sell the A350 to get £300ish back and you'll have one hell of an upgrade for around £300........

Also if you want to upgrade a lens, take at look at the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 EX which is one of the sharpest lenses I've seen! Incredible image quality and is right at the top of my wish list!!!

The Sigma 70-300mm APO is very highly rated for the money and again is on my wishlist!:D

The 18-50 is a good lens again, but not the quickest. As I would only use the sony for club work the lens needs to be quick...

After testing the sony a700 against my 50d, the 50 is such a better camera (agreed another 100 notes) but well worth it.

So today I purchased another 50d.

When you say "quick" do you mean focusing? Or do you mean aperture?

You won't go far wrong with a 50D. They are great cameras!

Quick focus, sorry should of made that clear.

Yeah the 50d is good, now have two bodies so I have a spare incase one breaks..

STOP SELLING OR BE SUSPENDED
