This really small interchangeable lens APS-C mirrorless came yesterday, I'm liking it already. The 16-50mm PZ OSS it came with is just the job for a kit lens P&S. My budget was rather limited hence I've gone for this rather than one of the bigger brothers. In time it might be a stepping stone to the Sony A7r but only when they're cheap because they're old or I'm rich and famous!

I'm interested in trying it with an adapter and my current Nikon lenses or the 50mm from an old OM-10 that's around here somewhere.

So anyone else with one, any must have adapters/lens combo's, or tips for setting it up?

Getting one of these on boxing day from the girlfriend, have already bought a 16mm f2.6 pancake lens to go with the kit lens.

The pancake takes a wide angle and a fish eye adapter so is more like 3 lenses in one, once you get all the bits.

Hopefully get out an test it after that and have more hands on input to contribute.

Have you tried the video yet?

I was worried about AF in low light situations, have you had any issues?

Edit: Read somewhere that a software update gives you focus shift, for manual focus, recommended for using adapters and manual lenses. Something I will certainly be doing.

Best tip is to just go through the menus to find out where things are. Generally once everything is set up you don't need to do anything else.
Find out how to get to ISO and aperture- that's about it. ...and focus peaking for manual lenses.

Wide angle lenses are easy and cheap for you( you probably don't need them with the 16-50), longer lenses you tend to have to go with legacy lenses and adaptors. A 135mm f2.8 is good, they are pretty cheap too if you go for Tamron/Hoya/Vivitar. I like the Olympus 50mm 1.8 on the Nex- good size, cheap, good performance. Similarly the 70-150 Olympus- the size is just right.
I use a Nex C3, Nex F3 and a Nex 6.

I haven't really pushed it yet, but indoors under led lighting the AF assist light came on and it got the focus quickly and accurate such that I didn't really notice. That's about it at the mo, I've pointed it at stuff and its just got on and taken the photo I expected - which on the first level is exactly what I wanted. Need to play with manual a bit more.

Haven't looked into the firmware yet but I will probably when I get more time.

I've done some more research on adapters but I'm still a bit rabbit-in-the-headlights. I've got 50mm in both Nikon and Olympus, as well as a push/pull zoom for the Oly, but I suspect the Nikon lenses will be better quality so should get a Nikon - NEX adapter. Decisions decisions!

As well as P&S I'll be using it mainly for landscapes and not bothered about going any wider than 16mm, but if I get on with manual focus a suitable wide'ish prime might be on the cards as long as its cheap.

Oh yes, video. I've taken messing about bits in AVCHD and MP4 again without surprises. The reviews mentioned you can hear the focus motor and it zooming but its nowhere near as loud as the D7000, so good enough and certainly usable for most values. Serious video you'ld get something you could plug a mic into anyway.
