Sony NEX 6 or EVF & new lens?

Hi guys,

I have been thinking about getting a Sony NEX 6 since it was announced, but could not decide as i already own the NEX 5N.

After doing some reading on the Sony site, i found that the EVF attachment for the 5N is the same if not very similar to the one used in the NEX 6/7.

The NEX 6 will cost me £699, but the EVF is £198 from Amazon which means I can maybe get the Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS which is £220 at the moment and there is a cashback of £30 on it too.

Do any of you guys own or have used the EVF attachment and/or the Sony E 50mm that can advise me on this matter before I jump in? Will it be money well spent or would I just be wasting my money? Thanks in advance! :)
 
The attachable evf is the same as found in the 6 and 7 but have the advantage of you can move the position great for when attached to a tripod, but does add bulk. The new 6 has a command dial better af and a better and more compact kit lens. I think its the best NEX to date.

If i was getting a prime i would get the new 30mm rather than the 50mm.

I'm not too concerned about the new kit zoom as I do not own the old one either and do not usually shoot at the wider end. Is the 50mm not a good lens or is it because it may be a little too long for a general purpose lens, especially if I do not own the kit zoom?

What really gets me thinking is the new AF system, I know it will be faster, but just how much faster? Is it significant enough to make me feel that my existing 5N lacking in the AF department?

I know a lot of what I'm asking sounds trivial but I didn't want to spend £400/£500 on new stuff for the 5N, only to find myself getting the NEX 6 later. I want to make sure I buy right the first time, not "buy cheap, buy twice" so to speak.

I find the 50mm on a crop sensor a little to long. The sigma 30m dn prime is meant to be amazingly sharp from centre to edge but not very fast at f2.8, but its compact and can be had for only £130. I've not had experience of the nex-6 i'm think it accuracy rather than speed would be a bigger differance. Less hunting in low contrast conditions.
