sony question

I have a sony a200. is there any other cheaper lenses that fit to sony. Maybe a silly one but money is an issue.

When you say cheaper lenses, do you mean third party? If so, yes, Sigma and Tamron both make lenses in Sony fit and their are plenty of older Minolta lenses out there that will also fit. What sort of lens are you looking for?

I am looking for macro really but if they are good prices a good tele lens aswell. I only have 18 - 70 it came with camera. So i mainly use my fugifilm and dont want to.

I'm no expert on Macro, but I do have a Sigma 105mm Macro lens. Only thing is that even this is close to £400. There is also the Sigma 50mm Macro at about £230 but that would give you less working distance and the focal length would be covered by your kit lens anyway. What sort of budget are you looking at?

On a budget, you are probably looking at the Sigma 70-300, preferably the APO version at around £170 although this is around the same price as the very capable Sony 75-300.

Thanks for your help. Think i am gonna have to do some major saving. But apparantly not far from me there is a place that does 2nd hand and reconditioned cameras and lenses maybe an idea for me

It's a good place to start but don't forget to look on ebay, loads of minolta lenses on there.

It all depends, Sigma will probably make these for most of the following fittings, Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax and Sigma.

Did the advert actually say Sony or Minolta fit ? If so it should fit.

If not look out for Tamron 55-200 DI II, you should be able to pick one up for around £100.00

I actually bought an old Minolta 50mm lens which works perfectly on my Sony A300.

I saved quite a bit of cash too

My only problem with ebay is paypal. i have had loads of problems setting it up . so it is still not set up, and most people want payment that way. but have had a look and am getting a rough idea thanks everyone

the cheapest new, half decent macro lens will be 1 of the Cosina 100mm variants (sold under different badges) probably ~£100.
