So this new lens-with-sensor kind-of half-a-camera concept absolutely has my attention:

Right now this seems to be 2.8 crop-factor, which I guess is pretty reasonable (compared to the miniscule sensors in phones normally) - so how long before a Canon EOS 'back end' makes it to market!
