sony repair costs

apparently it will cost £700ish to repair my laptop screen when i've just ordered the screen and an inverter for £95 delivered and then fitted it myself.

i fail to see how the cost of labour is worth £600ish

Sony has always been the same. Back in the stone age I worked for a Sony dealer and they (Sony) were expensive, unhelpful, uncaring even then. They have a great R&D dept and know how to sell their stuff but woe betide you if it breaks.

i think sony computers are best avoided generally anyway.

parts are shockingly poor and prices are steap.
