Sony RX100 ii - Video question

Hi guys,

What video setting do you recommend for best quality videos?

I am going around Europe soon and want to Vlog my trip so want the best quality

Options are

File Format

AVCHD

MP4


And then within AVCHD you have

50i 24M
50i 17M
50p 28M
25p 24M
25p 17M

Within MP4 you have

1440 v 1080 12M
VGA 3M

Also..how do I view the videos I have recorded. When I press play it just brings up my photos

Unless you need anything specific, like capturing fast moving objects or slowing the footage down in post, I'd stick with 25p 24m. Check that your video editor is OK with AVCHD .MTS files, though.

EDIT : Didn't see the next question, if you zoom out of the individual images and see smaller thumbnails of your images, there should be a icon on the left with 2 arrows, click that. Unless Sony have altered the layout from the mk i.
