Yes
Torn between these two cameras...after a mark 3 rx100 but also been looking at the panasonic over the last day or so and looks pretty good!Anyone here used both to compare?..

I own an LX100 and did have a MK2 RX100. For pocket ability the RX100 series are perfect. I got rid as I prefer a viewfinder. Love my LX100 and the quality in low light compared to the RX100 is excellent. I also miss the built in flash of the RX100 as it was very convenient.

Thanks for the reply..have to say the lx100 is tempting especially with the £50 cash back plus a bonus amazon credit voucher for £34!

It really is excellent. Im on my second one as my first was stolen in september on holiday. I had no hesitation in getting another.

It really does look a nice camera..although I admit the lack of tilting screen is a shame.

I've used an rx100 (although mk i not mk iii) as my OH owned one for a short time and it was just too small and fiddly to use as a serious camera

compares them side by side and it's immediately obvious which has the best controls - look at the "top" view!
why did sony decide to put the "on/off" button right next to the shutter button? (the number of times i tried taking a picture only to accidently "turn off" the camera)
also why a button instead of a switch as there is no clear indication if the camera is on or off.

Thanks for the input Adrian..I have owned the original rx100 and yes it was quite fiddly but loved the results from it.

I'm in the exact dilemma and leaning towards the lx100. I wish it was a tad smaller but you can't have everything.

I think I may just whack a new mark 3 rx100 on the old credit card..

Really!! Who are they never heard of them..are they reliable etc

They are a HK based one like many others. Researching them they seem legit. They have a eBay store with OK feedback too.

Can get it from amazon for 469 minus 50 cashback plus an amazon voucher for £34

Old thread revival but anyone any feedback on the Panny LX100.
Especially how good is the EVF?
