Sony Wifi Transfer to Smartphone

I'm finding it impossible to transfer images from my Sony A6000 to my iPhone 6.

I've got the Play Memories app installed on both devices and can select the A6000 as the wifi provider on my phone. I try to register the phone as a device from within the in-camera app, the wifi symbol appears so I presume they're connected but the camera refuses to budge from 'Connecting to smartphone...'

Does anyone have any hints?

If reset the network settings but no change.

It does, of course, help if you install the correct app on your phone and not the cloud image sharing one.
