I was going to buy a couple of spare en-el3e batteries for my new d90 grip, and after research on here decided to get 3rd party ones from 7dayshop. however they're out of stock and don't know when they'll be getting stock in.

so can anyone recommend 3rd party batteries from anywhere else?
i'd go for these:

http://j.mp/bQkpEV - Duracell

or

http://j.mp/dgGMNx - Uniross

but neither of the descriptions state they can be used in a D90... I remember reading somewhere (on here probably!) that batteries listed as useable in a D300 will work in a D90?

does anyone use the Duracell or Uniross batteries in their D90?

The Uniross work fine in my D90. I also have a couple made by Phottix that I got from a well known auction site for £8 each. That work fine too :-)

cheers frogbad

i was given a duff Phottix one, so a bit put off by them (though I'm sure it's just a one-off and it was a 2nd hand one)

might give the Uniross ones a whirl then :)

bought a Jessops own brand one and had no problems with it in my D90
Had a genuine Nikon one fail completely after only 4 charges
I was up against it because of this so had to buy the Jessops one as it was needed urgently.
In my experience 3rd party no problem

My spare is a Bluemax for around £15 and it's good for a spare BUT..doesn't last as long as the Nikon one. i got it from an advert page in the back of Photography Monthly.

thanks for the replies guys!

i've ordered a couple of the Uniross ones from Amazon (@ £17 each)... i figured at least they're a brand name and come packaged :)
but i'm all for 3rd party batteries, good to know most have had good experiences
