Tomorrow night I am going to be shooting a charity fund rasing event, in aid of red nose and another couple of charities, there will be some 250 poepole there with a live band, disco and a lot of other things going on. Anyway, ive just been sortingthe lit out ready, making sure everything is working, batteries charged etc. Now im debating whether to take a second body or not, now not having shot anything like this before I dont really know what its going to be like so still undecided what kit to take. The only thing that is putting me off the second body is having to lug it around all night, the bag is heavy enough as it is without taking a second set up, so if it were you would you take a second or just rely one one lot of kit.

In a busy environment like that I'd pack light one body, one lens and some batteries and cards in your pocket.

Take the spare body. You know if you don't sods law will come into play, the other thing it will save you doing is changing lenses.

Can you not buy a mate a beer to lug it around for you

I think I would take a spare body as it sounds like it would make the event easier to shoot.
From what you said it sounds like there will be a few things going on so may help with shooting in different conditions? :)

Goodluck and would be interested to hear how you get on...

Take spare - suffer for your art and look like a pro :)
