Sometimes you are just lucky.

After doing some strimming today and being rained off twice I decided to call it a day.

On my way for a shower I spotted something, from the bedroom window, sitting on a branch.

A long way(high ISO, at an angle through the window and a dull afternnon) from the quality of shots I normally see on here but any time seeing one of these is a delight.

Thank you all.

I was very lucky. Not only did it stay long enough for me to get my binoculars and confirm what it was(when I first saw it I thought I was looking at the back of a collard dove) but also the camera.

I think it might be using the garden as I've seen one three times in the last week and the trail camera yesterday had a couple of seconds of one chasing a smaller bird.
