If one was looking for a full frame (non sports) Nikon DSLR system,

2 bodies (AF speed doesn't need to track an incoming bullet)
2 flashes
A really 'good' selection of af lenses (brighter the better) for landscape, portraits, events, architecture that at least covers 24-200 a macro... sorry micro.

I would be looking to buy used and could spend circa £7k - what might one choose? I genuinely have no idea about the Nikon gear so am open to all suggestions.

I would appreciate if all suggestions could be kept within the above parameters so no canon, no crop etc etc.

What about this, all used.
2x D810 - approx £3200
1x Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 Micro - approx £400
1x Sigma 24-105 Art - £600 (might be new)
1x Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VR ll - £1100
1x Nikkor 16-35 f/4 VR - £600

The above is what I have just bought (although only one D810) and by my maths works out below your budget at £5900. That should leave plenty for lighting though whether you decide to go Nikon or Yougnuo etc is up to you.

Should be room for both in budget?

Yeah, but if youre looking at zooms the high ends will cover all your used FLs in 2 lenses (24-70 and 70-200), after that you would be doing some serious overlapping. That leaves a prime for Macro only.

I love spending other peoples money, perhaps swap out one of the primes for a Macro lens, pay by BACS and get that lot for £6650 that leave £350 for some Yongnuo HSS/TTL flashes and a set of YN622 triggers.

Good selection above, though:
I may be tempted to swap the 17-35 for the 16-35 f4 unless you need a 2.8,;
I would consider the Samyang 14mm 2.8 and;
I would probably go 25,50,85 for primes (which is just my advice, I really really want a 35mm Sigma)

I have no knowledge of Nikon lenses so just added a few things as I searched. Wish I had £7k spare now!

Oh, and in that selection there is a 24,50,85 prime AND a 35mm. :)

I probably would find 50 and 35 a bit too close, and I already own a 28mm so cant justify buying the Sigma myself, but I still really want one.

Thinking about it in the list above, the 70-200 f4 might also be a cheaper option but that is a cracking selection.

Can't be bothered to do the math but doubt this is in budget so would need to get some used/grey.
1x D750 for when ergonomics and weight are important
1x D810 for when you have to have high res
14-24mm f2.8
85mm f1.4
24-70mm f2.8
70-200mm f2.8 VRII
Sigma 105mm Macro OS HSM.
2x SB700
