I have a number of recorded interviews that I need to convert to text and am looking for a software recommendation.

Free would be great but I recognise this is perhaps a 'niche' field.

Bee where of trusting any conversion soft where two much. You only have to read the instant transcription gobbledegook that news programmes throw up to see just how unreliable it can be/is.

OK - an update on MacWisper.

I needed to subtitle some video. I actually went for the $18 option, rather than the free one. Lots of different accents, but all in English, often a bed of music under. It produced a very good .srt file. No errors.

I'll now go try it on some video with foreign language in it.
