Hey,

I shoot a lot with my flash unit off camera on a tripod for, and obviously get through quite a batteries in the process. I own the canon 430exii which sadly doesn't allow for an external battery pack it seems like the 580ex ii does. So I just wanted to find out what would be the best rechargeable batteries to get so I have a quicker recycling time but also so I don't have to change them after taking a few shots.

Thanks!

J

Loads of people will recommend the Sanyo Eneloop ones......i persoanlly along with others am happy with the 7dayshop 'good to go' ones.....

I can shoot all night with 2700mha batteries in my 430ex. Cost me about £9.

Ansmann Max-E+
High capacity 2500mAh and low discharge.
I accidentally left one of my 580 EXIIs switched on for a few months...I know it goes into power save but I was still impressed that the batteries were still fresh and with a fast recharge time. I have a yongnyo external battery pack from ebay which works very well, this allows the flash to be powered by 12 AAs in total. Very fast. :D

eneloops all the way.:):thumbs::clap:

eneloops, panasonic infiniums and 7ds 'good to go' are all good.

Then again, I get through them all regularly, no 3 month breaks between uses...
