Was hoping for a few more clouds as the sun went down, but still liked the colours in the sky.

Sun is about the only properly exposed part of the shot. Everything else is 3-4 stops under and rather magenta tinted.

Thanks for the comments. Not really sure how to respond to them. The exposure is where I wanted it to be for the shot and as I mentioned in my initial post I liked the colours, maybe I've over saturated them a bit.

The colour of the sunset are nice and the quiet sea is relaxing. In my opinion the branch doesn't bring much to the general composition and to get it in you had to also get a few distracting bits of grass too. I would be tempted to use a picture with a less cluttered foreground or to crop it out.

Thanks Thomas, and yes those blades of grass are starting to annoy me in it. I would rather keep the branch in but I wish I'd trimmed the grass.

Personally I like the image, including the colours, exposure and branch, but now you've drawn my attention to the bits of grass........... It shouldn't be hard to clone brush them out, though.

Thanks Jan, yes they would be easy enough to get rid off. Still wish I moved them at the time.

Yes I like the image, I would definitely struggle with the lighting conditions, and a result like this would be very pleasing. Everything looks so sharp.
