Does anybody use one of these?

I am torn between this and the black rapid, I followed the last thread on the black rapid with interest and think it’s a great product.

What I like the most about the spider is that it’s on your hip. I am going to a wedding (as a guest) next weekend I think the spider would look less conspicuous in a suit then a black rapid.

But the black rapid looks like when you want to take a picture it would be a lot quicker to do so as you only have to lift the camera up and not fiddle with a release switch and when your finished you can just let the camera go and it’s not going to hit the deck because you have not holstered it properly

Can anybody offer any words of wisdom?

I've got a spider, it is very good indeed. You can get dual holsters too.

For some reason though I find it used very little but then I don't like any form of strap as I find them far too obstructive and uncomfortable. I prefer to have my camera in my hand.

Well I opted for the black rapid in the end the price won, and the resell value if I don't get on with it.

I like the look of the spider but as you said its not used much I might find the same thing, camera either in my hand or in it's bag!
