Is it possible to get a business to sponsor you to do a photography course.

im looking at diong two courses in the new year.

intermediate photography and a master class. both are 6 weeks on a wed evening 6-9 and the masterclass starts the week after the intermediate one finishes.

both together cost £525 and i just dont have that kind of money... (when if i didnt work i would be getting this course for free )

is there any ways of me being able to get funding to help me pay for this course?

you ideas wil be appreciated.

I'm happy to be involved in a newcastle photography meet, if we can get together with ideas, a venue (room in a pub would do) :P and some lights/flashes and explore ideas.
will have a house after february and have some okay kit to play with.

if you go to the local Job center they may be able to point you in the right direction. you may well be able to get a grant.

Hi,

I'm in Newcastle (well actually Jarrow but I'll not admit to that!!) and I've just signed up to a course at Newcastle College. Just getting into photography and for all I've read loads on the theory side of things I'm not too experienced on the practical side so I've signed up for the beginners course on a Tuesday evening 6-9pm them hope to progress.

As I say I'm not experienced at all, just starting out but I'd like to opportunity to meet with like minded people in the local area.

im in a similar boat as you... but im worried that paying for a beginners course will involve them showing you how to turn it on and attach lenses etc lol.

how much is that course.

I'm in the west end

I'm also signed upto your site  signed up ages ago, before I found TP

lol yeha ive just went on it.... ill tell you what... ill sort the site out and make it useable... maybe adertise it around ... but ill need a hand with the admin as i wont be able to dedicate alot of time t oit as i have work full time and have a young dfamily

The beginners course is £250. I looked at the intermediate but thought it might be jumping in too high. The beginners course covers things such as aperture, ISO, raw vs jpeg, exposure bracketing, dof, etc.... It also covers taking photos in all kind of sitations such as low light, close up, etc... and covers areas such as flash.

The intermediate course assumes that you have already covered all of this and seems to jump straight into a personal project.
