]I would like to get in to the world of sports photography.I understand the right equipment to get the kind of results I want is going to be expensive.
Can anyone offer me any advice on the kind of gear I would need , without braking the bank ???

Hi Mark, it really depends what level you want to work at, what your budget is and what sports you want to cover.

If your only covering Daytime sports then the level of kit required wont be as great, if you covering night matches in dungeons or stadiums lit by candles then you will really need F/2.8 glass and a body with decent ISO performance

Thanks Andy

At the moment I am Using a Nikon D80 with a Sigma 170-500 mm 1:5 - 6.3 APO DG for shooting mainly local cricket matches. I sometimes get some good results
but would like to take it to the next level and really get in to it .I will post some shots I took over the weekend ,If you could look mat them and tell me what you think that would be great.I am very much a point and shot man but would love to learn more about this area.
Thanks
Mark
