Spotting Scope tripod

Can some one give a clue, for around £50, what my Mrs can get for a spotting scope tripod for her Pop's birthday?

Does she need a head too?

I have no idea what scope he has so this is a little bit of guess work but if you can give me an idea in a range then I will be grateful.

Personaly, I find a tripod with a scope is a dam nusance! I use a monopod.
If it must be a tripod, then a lightweight one is preferable as you will be carrying it a lot. For £50, look at the Redsnappers.

Thanks Baz, but it isn't for me - it is for my Father in Law as per the OP and I just got asked to ask around on here by the Mrs - I haven't a clue about them.
 
Yep realise that mate, has anyone asked him what he prefers? or is it, as I suspect, a suprise? Have a look at THIS one. Just over your budget, but you get a decent head with it, and its under 2 kilos. You also, if you order it, get 10% of for TP members!

I take it a scope has a tripod mount like a camera?

Thanks Gary, I think I will have to ask the FiL what weight his scope is as to which tripod to get, and also the weight of him carrying it.
