spyder pro on macbook pro - any difference?

Hi All

I have recently calibrated my macbook pro 15.4 using the spyder pro.

The reason for doing this was that i had a photo book made and thought some of the pictures were a little dark - on checking i realised my monitor brightness was turned up too far.
I now run the brightness setting at just over halfway but decided to calibrate anyway.

I cant say i really notice any difference in my monitor but the coloursync at start up has made my startup times a little longer which is annoying me.
One of the things i love on the mac is its sprinty startups.

I am thinking of turning the calibration off as it doesn't appear to make any difference.

Does anybody else use a spyder calibration tool on their MBP?
If not what brightness settings do you use and do you get good results?

Just to add, when i ran the spyder on my old vaio laptop you could see the screen change as it booted up.

Thanks

Used a Spyder2 on my Macbook and it made quite a difference to the colours (in a good way).
It did look a little more pink to begin with though, but your eyes soon adjust.
Not sure what you mean about coloursync extending the startup time, it barely made any difference on mine.
