It's quite extraordinary the way the porch and yew trees have become 'melded' together. I've read that the church, whose origins date back to the 11th century, had the north porch added in the 16th or 17th century. I would guess the two yew trees were planted at about the same time, producing a result that, 3-400 years later looks straight out of 'Lord of the Rings'.
