Bid for a Yashica FX-D Quartz camera and won. Paid £3.89 The seller said that it wouldn't wind on. Battery had leaked inside and the battery holder was broken. Quick clean and replacement holder fitted, now works perfectly. Virtually dust free in viewfinder mirror etc. Nice one.

Nice one. I think a lot of people are put off by the state of the leatherette, which is often deteriorated on the FXD's.

I replaced the leatherette on an FX-D that I was given last year. The one from e-bay looks like worn denim and I might just live with it.
