finally had a play at long exposures...here's the result of 20mins worth of star gazing. fair bit of noise on the image but managed to bash something out with PS and some well placed smart sharpen...

I was really on about light pollution, it's pretty bad here and I can see the glow of brizzul from out of my window at night!

nope, south near exmoor...very little/no back ground light.
