Here is my first attempt at a starscape timelapse using my Canon DSLR. I shot with an EF 50mm f/1.8 lens, 20 second exposure, 25 second intervals using Magic Lantern v2.3.

I know the video is short, but overall what do you think of it?

Short and sweet, a good start, perhaps an introduction to a longer film.

I like it - more please!

Nice bit of movement. in my opinion star timelapses need a bit of framing with landscape, even if it's just bordering it.

This was one of my tests for a sun-down timelapse:

Which worked out well.

What frame rate are you using there? You need to be applying 24-30fps to get half decent motion. Is the interval 25 seconds AFTER each 20 second exposure, or a 20 second exposure and 5 seconds pause until the next shot?

I would recommend doing 20 seconds with no pause - straight into the next exposure- you want as little 'unfilmed' time as possible to smooth the motion.

I'd loose the intervals as it's left the time lapse a little too juttery for my tastes

no a brilliant example but this is one I produced recently with some star trail frames
