HI, i should have posted this yesterday (forgot, sorry)so it might be short notice. There is a steam train weekend finishing today on the line between Keighley, Haworth and Oxenhope. Cant be more specific as i dont know a thing about trains but there were some top opportunities yesterday, plenty of interesting trains and people and it continues today until about 6ish.
I'm off back to hopefully catch a couple of missed shots and the places i'd recommend looking at from my obs yesterday are, in order of my own preference.
Public footpath that goes under track between Oxenhope and Haworth (Park at Oxenhope and walk along the path between the track and stream for about half a mile, you get to a little footbridge under the track.
Ingrow station to get pics of trains exiting the tunnel. Musuem costs £1.50 i think.
Oxenhope station where they terminate and the staff are dressed up in period uniforms, the station is also restored to some semblance or originality and there is a free musuem with a couple of shiny engines and some carriages.
Haworth station and road bridge over the track near the station.
Road bridege over track on Ebor Lane, Haworth.
Road bridge over station at Keighley.
Dont know if this is useful info for any train buffs, cant comment on guages or steam quality or chuffability, whatever it is you call it.
Hopefully see you there, look out for a bright red and black stripey scarf, or alternatively avoid.
