Its a shame, especially as it probably means his health is deteriorating further
I hope this doesn't have to much of a negative affect on them as a company (i was shoked that shares haven't dropped to much because they normally do when theres new to do with his health)
Apparently though Tim Cook has been more or less in charge for some time now. It's sad news, and seems to suggest that Steve Jobs has not beaten his cancer. Seems like the end of an era for Apple, but it's not totally out of the blue, I suppose. And I hope the company doesn't take too much of a morale hit. Because, even though Steve Jobs might not have been involved in the actual running, it's more his status as an industry legend that seemed to provide the spirit and power within Apple.
heard this on the radio this morning, it is a shame and i hope it helps mr jobs health.
cook has been in charge since jan hasnt he? i cant see anything significantly changing now jobs is going, it would be suicide to change any strategies etc.
Sad to hear but its been coming for a while, I think as mentioned before that the worst is that its unlikely Steve Jobs would have stood down unless he didn't think he was going to be getting better and be able to come back.
