Great kid and boots, but is it just me or is he completely separated from any form of reality including floor or background. Bit more shaddow needed.

Perhaps you should start adding something ... colour/potted plants/elephants/rockinghorse poo in the background?

I like it - its a nice expression and the boots add enough interest for me.

I can also see loads of rocking horse poo in the background, along with the emperor wearing new clothes

Very striking image which made me smile, but I can't help thinking it looks like he's wearing hover boots. Something is need in the background just to pull him back to earth.
