Storage at home

I've got a 'walkabout' bag that holds my body + telephoto lens and a rucksack that will (at a pinch) hold the body and all my lenses but not things like flash, chargers, leads, tripod etc.

I'm looking for home storage ideas that will allow me to quickly select whatever gear I think I need so that I can transfer it to the appropriate bag and not lug unwanted gear around. Obviously a cupboard and shelves would fit the bill but I'm wondering what others use? Pics would be helpful.

I generally kept my stuff in one of the bags I don't use much, but have recently been keeping stuff in a very sturdy cardboard box (with a lid on) which I can easily see whats where and choose what I need.

Peli case, under the bed. Keeps my gear safe and sound, and easy to get at when needed.

I've got a photography cupboard, fitted with glass shelves and silicon gel. Works very nicely, although I am already running out of space. :D

I keep mine dotted around the house in the back of drawers and cupboards. I find I get a lot less "And when did you get THIS??" questions from Mrs M that way :D

I can never seem to find what I'm after though
