Hi,
I went to Iceland last week and as I knew I wanted to take some long exposure shots so I bought welding glass.

Before I went I gave it a go and tested it on my home balcony and everything was just fine....

So I am in Iceland, taking a long exposure photo and I see :

Almost certain that that's light getting in through the viewfinder. Compare it with this
3485053815_8829e4920d_o.jpg

shot which was taken with the viewfinder blind left open and pointed directly at the sun. According to FlickR's properties info, it was 1/10th s, ISO 200 on a D700.

ah,ok ....

Shame I found it out after coming back and loosing quite a few photos....
But thanks Nod :)

Will remember that for future :)
