Strange Fuji Quirk

As I have started using my Canon again I have noticed something which seems a bit odd. On my canon I can half press the shutter to focus then keep to there whilst firing off any number of shots. On my XE2 and X100s you have to refocus after every shot. This seems a bit of a strange quirk. Has any one else noticed this and found a work around?

Is it set to single shot? Do you need to switch to continuous shooting?

On my XT1, if I have image review turned on then I get as the OP, if I turn off Image review I don't need to refocus, the focus point stays as long as I don't release the shutter completely, although if you have your finger too far down on the shutter in single shot mode it won't take the shot, it can be quite hard to know if you're pushing down far enough to keep it in half pressed state or if you're somewhere between half press and full release.
