Help!

I;m just going through some photo's from today and have noticed on some of the water ones it appears that someone had taken a bron lightpen and drawn swirls on some of the photo's, so quickly I didn't notice them doing it. Ok maybe not but it looks similar!

It's most prominent on the shot below which luckily was one for the bin anyway, but what would cause this ???

Ryan, to me it looks like it is Reeds/Grass as said, is just that the DoF may have made them look odd, also if there was wind they would be blowing around, do you have another we could see, but to be honest don't look like anyting wrong with the kit,

How was your day anyway?

At first glance it looks like bad cloning - but if it's OOF background detail, I'd be worried too - as it looks as though some of the 'marks' are duplicated...

*edit* - could be relections in glass if you've shot through at an acute angle...the 'duplication' could be caused by staggered reflections from the front and rear surfaces of the glass sheet...

Thanks for the replies :D

I don't think there were any reeds in the pond, shots were through the glass...

I'm sure it's nothing wrong with the kit, just the operator as usual :D

Not a bad day, just playing with photo's now so shouldn't be long and I'll let you lot be the judges lol, only downside is that for some reason my mums D40 did not want to focus at all and pretty much all of the images of hers came out blurred which is unusual for her camera so she was not very happy as it was the first time we'ld been out together to take photo's.

The park itself was a bit naff, wish I could have persuaded mum to go to CWP instead lol...

Another photo (again a binner lol)...

Yes - reflections would be my guess - see where the 'line' goes across the otter's head?

Might also account for the AF fail on the cheaper camera - it couldn't 'see' through the reflections in the glass perhaps?

Looking at that one it is not reeds, or the such, what were you shooting through Glass/Wire? would say that is likly the cause.

Thanks for the replies :D
