Strange referrals

Over the last couple of days I have noticed on google analytics that I have been getting above average visits to my site. Having looked into it a bit further, they seem to be referals from one particular website.

I'm no knocking any site putting traffic my way, but out of curiosity I have visited the site and can't see where the referrals are coming from. The site is...

The site I think is Canadian in origin, based on the english/french language options, and is totally unrelated to photography?
It's quite a small site and on no page can I find a link to mine.

The only thing I can see is there are some advertising banners, but I have never paid for an advert anywhere.

So just a bit intregued really...... :thinking:
 
Hmmm.

I have never signed up for any SEO help or anything like that.

My limited understanding is that if you are found spamming or the like, google will penalise you for it.

I also understand that google is infinitely cleverer than me, so I know not to try it. :lol:

Is there a possibility that whatever is happening here could bite my bottom?
