Hi all,

Tomorrow My other half and I have to travel to "stransham services" (wherever that is!) to pick up her daughter. I realise it's in Worcs (or Glos) and figured it might be worth going early for a spot of photography.

SO - can anyone recommend somewhere I can aim for in that region to take a few pictures. Landscapes aren't my thing tbh but I figured I ought to make an effort while I'm in such a lovely location.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Ryan, strensham is a small village in worcestershire, also there is a service area on the m5 called strensham about ten miles past junction 7 going south, you can see the Malvern hills from there which are snow capped at the moment,Tewkesbury is very nice for the abbey,or there is Worcester which has the cathedral and the river Severn,
regards john.

The malverns can be seen as you approach SS on the M5 - gorgeous and quite easy to get to from Junction 1 or 2 of the M50 (which is where Strensham Services is).

Evesham is quite a nice town - that's next junction (going south), A46 for about 10 miles. River Avon goes through it, there are two nice bdirdges - one metal, one stone - and some nice olde worlde town streets

Thanks you two - that's really helpful. I'll see if I can get to the Malvern hills and maybe head for the cathedral.

Cheers - really appreciate it :)

You may have already left so this is too late, but the County Air Ambulance is based at Stresham services, a nice shiny red EC135. Don't know if that floats your boat.

regards

Just got back guys. (Sorry Jas I missed yours :( )

Anway - I got a quick snap of the snowy hills and then took a detour into Worcester to enjoy the Cathedral. Shame there was some Girl Guides thing on and the place was shut 'til nearly 3pm :bang:

Still - I got a few pics and will put 'em on my flickr in the next day or two. Was a nice place - great shout John :)
