Should I buy a specific Stroboscopic Flash to match the camera?

For example, can Canon Sooedlit 580 EX II Flash be ok on Nikon/Sony cameras????

The strobe function usually comes with other high end features that’d be camera specific, I’d buy something to match the camera, but from Godox.

Godox are especially good for using multiple camera brands, as a Godox C speedlight will work seamlessly off camera fired by a Godox trigger on a Sony or Nikon.
