studio backgrounds

That is going to depend on what lighting you have, how hard wearing you want it to be.... loads of factors....

If I was setting up a large perminant studio I would be tempted to use vinyl painted matt black... But for portable stuff I use a cotton cloth...

I think paper is very good if you take care of it, either that or matt painted walls/floors and maybe a large sheet of perspex or maybe glass to get that reflective look on the floor.

Take a look at peoples photos, see the effect the background gives and if thats something you're looking for ask them and you'll know what you're after :)

I use paper - have a white roll and a black roll. At the end of a portrait shoot I'll cut 1-2m off if dirtied...

They cost around 50 quid a roll so I just buy a new one when I'm getting low.

Works well for me !

cheers
Matt

Thanks... perspex sheets are definitely on the list!!

Will have a look at some pics and get some ideas from that/
