Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has any reccomendation for studios for hire in the Oxford area. I'm looking for somewhere to do some portfolio shoots with a few models. They are students, so budget is very small.

A lot of the places I used in the past have closed...I emailed a few of them a couple of months back and still haven't had responses from about half a dozen...

You might be better off hiring some lights and looking for a large space somewhere rather than a bespoke studio - especially if funding is tight.

Or going for indoor daylight shoots instead...
 
I seem to recall a studio space in Lane end, Bucks - halfway between Stokenchurch and High Wycombe. It sat just past and set back from a garage, next to the duck pond. Couldn't tell you if it's still there or not, or what they charge, but you ought to be able to find out yourself...

As an aside, if they're students could you not use the school or college facilities?

Saw the website. The thing that put me off was the space is tiny and white. It looks like a very difficult space to control the lighting spill in.

I agree totally that getting somewhere else would be better, but I can't think of anywhere in Oxford that has a big open space I could steal to use. I've got lights, just need the space.
