Sturdy Tripod. "No" budget.

I know people here (who haven't used it) "throw shade" on my Revolve Tech tripod but I still like it and find it practical to use.
Somthing more conventional would be a Sachtler Flow Tech but you would have to push your budget a lot, great tripods however.
 
Having eventually acquired a gitzo tripod I don’t think I’ll ever need a replacement
 
For people like me, who generally value spontaneity over that elusive "image quality", tripods are like any other toy: you see another cheap one and you think "it can't harm to try it out"... ;)

If I used a tripod often enough, I'd get a Gitzo. As it is, I only use one occasionally so am quite happy with the Giottos carbon tripod I picked up about ten-years ago. Could do with a better head though. I currently use a Pig Iron branded ball-head (cheap Chinese item from Jack The Hat), it's OK but not brilliant.
