Sub £700 Laptop?

I am thinking of getting a laptop for editing photos while I am out and about and sat at work etc.
What would you recommend for up to £700?

If your budget is really low, get a netbook (under £300), if you can streach a little bit, get a reburbished macbook from Apple (about £630).

Well after much thought I have ordered a toshiba P300-190, the specifications look good, now Im just waiting for it to arrive so I can have a play!

Dell.co.uk is worth a look mate. The new Studio 15 and Studio 17's are nice machines.

Look for a minimum of Core2Duo processor, 2GB of memory (although it's easily and cheaply upgradable) and a decent size screen if you want to do any photo-editing.

I bought a netbook (Advent 4211 - 10" screen) instead - I use Lightroom on it, enough for any basic editing I want to do out and about,,

For the sake of another £100 you could get a Sony Vaio vgn-ar7iM.
4gig of memory,300gig hd, 17 in screen , and all the rest of the knobs and bells.
I got one the other day and have to say it is the bee,s knees.
