A few ideas ,
May be a little early for the red deer rut on Dunwich heath but there is the Coastguard cottages on the headland. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/dunwich-heath-and-beach
Shingle street - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shingle_Street
Aldeburgh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aldeburgh (the Scallop statue on the beach is good)
Southwold - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwold ( the pier and the lighthouse)
Blythburgh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blythburgh ( classic view of the church across marshland from the A12)
Dominic went there too oddly it was a real zoo got a few shots of an old sailing barge moored on the river, but deffo not worth sharingSnape malting and surrounding area, my dad does a lot of landscape oil painting of the area.
Mark thanks missed the shot of the church from the A12 at Blytheburgh and didn’t make Shingle Street but did get to Southwold and the pier and the Scallop at Aldeburgh got lots of shots of the Scallop. Then on the coast road to Thorpeness saw the house in midair and tried to get nearer to it and the Windmill but only got as far as finding I’d parked in the Golf Club Presiden’t place. On the way out got eyeballed by the local Suffolk constabulary but they left me alone I guess I looked a bit ordinary to be bothering anyone, Still didn’t get the Coastguard cottages couldn’t find them. Also the hotel warned us off the heathland showing us a notice about some weird disease afoot and as we had a dog with us we didn’t explore much heathland.A few ideas ,

Paul we did get to Sizewell but not as far North as Covehithe I’m afraidJamie, as Mark has said but also Walberwick and Sizewell are decent locations, depending on how far you really want to drive. Covehithe there's a walk along the beach to Benacre (although I haven't been as far as Benacre myself) Felixstowe and Dovercourt.
Steve we did go to Minsmere but had our dog in tow and didn’t get past the Cafe - they offered us a shaded place to park and leave the dog but it is so large we really couldn’t leave the dog TBH. Instead I got attracted by the top or the line Swaros/Leica/Zeiss binos and had to be dragged away ;-)Rspb Minsmere (aka Springwatch) is just down the coast and well worth a walk round even if you are not into birds or rabbits.
Nice quiet stretch of coast, heather moor and woodland all in one. The birders tend to stick to the wet bit hides.
