I'm looking for some togs who have done alot of portraits of people with tattoos. Sort of "Miami Ink style". I have loads of ideas obviously, but really want to do some more research too - too much of what I can find are tattoos of portraits and the tattoo artist, hence asking if anyone could make any suggestions, please?

Not too sure what you are after, is it to get good definition of the tattoos?

I fill a water spray bottle with a 30/1 water and baby oil mix for tats, This will give a natural pop to the ink without making the skin too shiny when rubbed in.

I'm looking for some suggestions of photographers whose work I can look at more.

This is roughly the kind of thing I want to experiment a little with.

I've been asked to take a couple for a friend, as he has one appearing in a magazine soon and wants more doing.

You know, I hadn't thought of that - and I'm somewhat surprised you're the first person to suggest it - my brother in law is a tattoo artist - that's who I get my ink done by.
