Suggest me a Compact Point & Shoot...

...for my father in law. Must be easy to use and have a good optical zoom. Picture image quality needs to be as good as possible for a digital compact. Features are not that important as it will be used on full auto for 99% of it's life.

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

Not exactly set a budget but £100 - £150 approx. Would possibly spend more if it meant a much better / more appropriate camera.

Can't beat the Sony W series IMO. However, the zooms only go up to 5x on them and that might not be enough! Something like the SX100 might be good:

I don't personally like this camera, but then again I don't personally like superzooms so, yeah. It's supposed to be good anyway, and it's pretty compact.

It doesn't need to be a superzoom as such. All I meant by that comment was that when looking a spec I only look at optical zoom, as digital zoom is rubbish. I think 5x zoom should be adequate.

Fuji F70EXR £30 money back till end of this month its getting some great reviews. Should be able to pick one up around £140 WMB.
