I take photos of cyclists racing along at speed. Sometimes I FREEZE the action but I also PAN whenever I get the chance. I always use a prime lens, it's light and very good for what I do. The problem is this; when they are on the far side of the road, the 50mm falls a bit short on putting them in the frame to a decent size. The 105mm I have is too heavy for this, for me and I wondered if there is something suitable between the two. Don't want a zoom, even though it might be a good option (I'm awkward) and because it is set at 1/40th or 1/60th and ISO 100, it doesn't have to be a f1.8.
Any suggestions please. Don't SHOUT at me and tell me to get a zoom!!!!
