Nice shot and you've done it right - exposed for the sky to get the trees in silhouette. I agree with gandhi though, there's just too much solid black foreground with no detail. I'd crop the foreground right back to just below the skyline for a pano (wider) look.
If you're going to show that much foreground you really need to try to preserve a little detail. One way is to take two shots, one exposed for the sky and one for the foreground and combine the two shots via layers in processing.
There's a creative eye at work there though. :thumb:
